On the 23rd of September, The Surfer Kids Non-Profit, in partnership with Bitcoin eKasi, hosted the third event of the Surfer Kids Surf Series, and what an unforgettable day it was!
Despite some challenging weather, the waves delivered all day long, setting the perfect stage for some truly impressive surfing. Junior surfers from across the Garden Route came together to compete, connect, and showcase their talent and they did not disappoint!

More Than Just a Competition
This event is more than just a surf contest—it's part of a growing movement to empower young surfers in the Garden Route. With very few surf competitions happening in our area, events like these are vital. They provide much-needed competitive experience and help prepare our local surfers to represent the region at bigger stages like the SA Junior Champs and other national competitions.
We're proud to be playing our part in growing the sport of surfing locally, while also strengthening community ties through positive, youth-centered events.
Surf Meets Bitcoin
In true Surfer Kids and Bitcoin eKasi style, winners received their prizes in Bitcoin sats, reinforcing our commitment to building a Bitcoin circular economy right here in our community. Through initiatives like this, we aim to spread awareness and education around Bitcoin, showing the next generation how technology and sport can work hand-in-hand to create new opportunities.

A massive congratulations to all our surfers who participated and gave it their all—we’re incredibly proud of each and every one of you. And a special shout out to our winners for standing out among such tough competition.
We’re already looking ahead with excitement to the final event of the year, set to take place in November. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for one last epic showdown in 2025.Until then, keep surfing, keep growing, and stay stoked!
